Networking

Networking means that files and databases can be shared across multiple computers. The files are stored on one computer and access from other local computers (ie. in an office or home), can be made via an installation of either wire connections or by a wireless system.

Files and Databases can also be shared across multiple computers and accessed from anywhere around the world, via the internet. An Intranet system is an online database where an unlimited number of people can be using the same database at the same time. This is an especially useful system if your business has more than one office, as changes made to the database can be viewed by others as soon as the change is saved.

By Networking your systems either locally or via the internet, you will no longer have to copy files onto floppy discs, cd's or memory sticks in order for more than one person to use files or databases. It will also cut down on duplicate copies of files being held on computers and confusion as to who had the latest and most updated file last!

What can we do for you

Networking is ultimately an efficient way to bring all your systems together and have them work in synchronisation, thus increasing security and effectiveness.

Local networking, i.e. an office or home, can be made by wire connections or set up by a wireless system. Based on your specific requirements we can advise you on the most efficient means to suit your existing layout.

Intranet systems, can be set up for use over the internet, via an online database associated with a website. We can design a full system for you including website and database based on your needs or we can build on existing structures that you may already have in place.
